TIGERS SWEEP NORTH COBB CHRISTIAN EASILY IN FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS

Varsity Baseball swept its first round playoff matchup versus North Cobb Christian behind two exceptional performances on the mound by Jack Ward and Hayden Milling. In Game 1, Ward threw a 7 inning complete game to lead the Tigers a 4-2 victory. He allowed 2 runs on only 4 hits, striking out 7. A team offensive effort saw 6 Tigers contribute a hit. Hayden Milling, Will Pittman, and Alex Davies also contributed RBIs for the Tigers.

In Game 2, an offensive outburst and a complete game by Milling paved the way for a 13-2 victory for the Tigers. Milling went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 7. Carter Buchanan led to way offensively, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Michael Wein also had 2 hits, and Jake Phillips contributed 2 RBIs as well. 

The Tigers will travel to Wesleyan for a double header on Thursday (4:00 and 6:30 PM) and Friday (5:30 PM) if necessary for their second round match up.
