MS GOLF TAKES ON MT. VERNON & PERIMETER IN TRI-MATCH

The King's Ridge Middle School Golf Team took on Mount Vernon/Perimeter School in a Tri-Match right down the road at Trophy Club of Atlanta. This was an alternate shot format where two people work in a team alternating who hits each shot.

Jack Schoenberger and Evan Sabol worked well together stringing together a solid round of 46 tying Perimeter's number one and two golfers, and beating Mount Vernon's. This included a beautiful approach by Schoenberger on the 14th hole (a par 3), followed by one of the best putts of the day from Evan Sabol, and then Schoenberger with the easy tap in. Both Schoenberger and Sabol worked together well all around to come out on top.

Harrison Livingston and George Brannon had a tough match up and lost, but battled through the course scoring a 63.

Mary Christopher and Kelly Cesped took on two Mount Vernon Girls in a scramble match. Both teams were tied going into the 18th hole. Mary and Kelly beat their opponent with clutch putting on the last hole to win by one stroke 55-56.

Congratulations to all the teams. King's Ridge Middle School Golf cranks back up right after Spring Break.
